Founded in January, 2012, the Quanzhou Taiwan Business Investment Zone is a major part of the Quanzhou High-tech Technological and Industrial Development Zone, located in Quanzhou, Fujian province. The zone covers 200 square kilometers and has a population of 338,000. The towns of Luoyang, Dongyuan, Zhangban and Baiqi and the provincial-level Huinan industrial park are under its jurisdiction.The zone is across the sea from the new administrative center of Quanzhou city, and is surrounded by mountains and waters, which makes its location superior. The supporting facilities in the zone are also exceptional, and the zone is divided into sections.In 2021, the zone achieved a regional GDP of 35.57 billion yuan ($4.98 billion), an increase of 10.7 percent year-on-year, and ranking third in the city.The zone is gradually moving towards an ecological waterfront new urban area of economic prosperity, social harmony, cultural diversity and a beautiful environment.
