In the turbulent 1930s, a group of artists in Lijiang, Yunnan province, found their voice through ink and color. They founded the Xueshe Society, one of modern Lijiang's most influential art societies.

Now, Yunnan Provincial Museum invites you to explore the society's artistic world through Gold Born from Lijiang: Xueshe Society Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.

While admiring more than 60 works of landscape, bird-and-flower, figure paintings, and calligraphy, you can feel the artists' deep affection for their homeland and experience the spirit of the era.
