White-glazed Ding ware ewer in the shape of a reading child

Can you recognize that this Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) white-glazed Ding ware statue of a child reading is actually a disguised ewer?
The lotus-shaped crown serves as the water inlet, while the scroll in the child’s hands doubles as the spout. His hollow torso forms the vessel, and a handle is cleverly hidden behind him.
Unearthed in the 1960s from the foundation of a Liao Dynasty (916-1125) pagoda in Shunyi district, Beijing, this ingenious piece is now housed at the Capital Museum.
