What does a brocade reveal, thread by thread?

Featuring brocades made by southern ethnic groups in China from the collection of the China National Museum of Women and Children, the new exhibition opened on Sept 9 at Tianjin Museum. It showcases over 80 contemporary brocade works from nine ethnic groups, including the Zhuang, Miao, Dai, Tujia and more.

Rich in color and craftsmanship, these textiles capture generations of cultural memory, everyday wisdom, and a unique appreciation of nature and beauty.
