​Xi'an firms make candidate list for national demonstration bases

Two enterprises based in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, have been included in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's preliminary list of candidates for the first batch of national demonstration bases for the development of emerging industries.

These demonstration bases are a national-level program focusing on key sectors of emerging industries, selecting industrial parks and enterprises with leading domestic performance. They aim to deliver exemplary and spillover effects, foster the growth of emerging industries, and cultivate new quality productive forces.

Xi'an ASN Technology Group Co is a high-tech, innovative enterprise spun off from Northwestern Polytechnical University to commercialize research achievements, and a leading enterprise in Shaanxi's UAV industrial chain. Its business spans the full‑chain of UAV system R&D, smart manufacturing, testing and evaluation, supporting services, and professional training, serving as a key backbone driving the development of the regional low-altitude equipment industry.

Drawing on its solid R&D and industrial strengths, it has built China's large‑scale leading demonstration base for UAV industrialization, as well as the country's first professional UAV testing base with independent airspace access.

Its products and technologies are widely deployed in diverse scenarios, including logistics delivery, emergency rescue, and high‑altitude patrols. Multiple core and key technologies have reached internationally advanced levels, providing solid support for upgrading China's low-altitude economy.

AVIC XAC Commercial Aircraft Co, a member entity of Aviation Industry Corporation of China, is a civil aircraft manufacturer integrating civil‑aircraft R&D, final‑assembly integration, marketing, and customer services.

The company is also building a sound development system for the civil aircraft industry and has established an internationally aligned and well-functioning civil aircraft industrial layout.

Its main products include the Modern Ark (MA) series of turboprop regional aircraft, civil cargo planes, and multi-purpose aircraft, including cloud-seeding precipitation-enhancement planes, remote-sensing aircraft, and medical evacuation aircraft. More than 100 MA series aircraft across various models have been delivered in total, boosting the brand influence of China-built civil aircraft.
