Xi'an holds AI+ industry development conference

The first Silk Road International AI+ Industrial Platform Development Conference was held in Xi'an on Aug 31.

Centering on smart applications, future transportation, big health, and shared economy initiatives, the event brought together nearly 400 guests, including government officials, academicians and experts, university researchers, and entrepreneurs from across the country to explore practical approaches to using artificial intelligence to support innovative corporate growth.

Li Xiaodong, former vice‑chairman of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference said that there is an urgent need to build high‑level industrial cooperation platforms, break down barriers among governments, research institutes, enterprises, and capital, establish regular open cooperation mechanisms, and inject digital and intelligent momentum into industrial upgrading.

During the launch session for high‑quality industrial projects, six projects were unveiled, spanning multiple fields, including cross‑border agriculture, AI-powered robots, and green circular materials. A dedicated matchmaking and negotiation zone was set up at the conference, where participating enterprises and investment institutions explored industrial cooperation opportunities in depth.

The event advances the AI‑powered growth of the real economy, links domestic and international markets, supports private enterprises in pursuing collaborative development, and contributes to the high‑quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
