Dance production celebrates Hainan’s shared home

The original dance production Our Shared Home premiered in Haikou, Hainan province, on Aug 21, bringing the island’s diverse ethnic cultures and tropical rainforest heritage to the stage.
Supported by the 2026 National Arts Fund, the production is also Hainan’s only entry in the 7th National Ethnic Minority Art Festival. Its five chapters explore rainforest life, ancient history, ethnic traditions and the enduring bond between people and nature.
