Sinotruk, based in Jinan, sold 218,700 heavy-duty trucks in the first seven months of 2026, up 27 percent year-on-year, securing a 29.4 percent market share. It led the heavy-duty truck market in total sales, exports, and new energy truck sales during the period.
The company's new energy truck business posted particularly strong growth. Sinotruk sold 4,959 new energy heavy-duty trucks in July, up 164.8 percent year-on-year, giving it a 17.3 percent market share. New energy heavy-duty truck sales totaled 24,900 units from January to July, up 128.6 percent year-on-year, with a market share of 16.1 percent.
The growth reflects Sinotruk's expanding capabilities in new energy vehicle technology. The company has developed integrated electric drive systems featuring electric drive axles and high-power permanent-magnet synchronous motors to improve vehicle efficiency, while pursuing battery-electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel cell technologies.
Its new energy lineup serves a diverse range of applications, from long-haul logistics and port transportation to mining and construction.
Sinotruk is also strengthening its international presence. Its overseas network includes 37 knock-down assembly plants and more than 700 service stations, marking a shift from simply exporting vehicles toward localized manufacturing and services.
