​Shaanxi's imports, exports soar in Jan-July

Shaanxi province's total import and export volume reached 570.94 billion yuan ($84.63 billion) from January to July, a year‑on‑year increase of 97.4 percent.

Exports amounted to 443.08 billion yuan, rising by 120.2 percent. Imports stood at 127.86 billion yuan, up 45.5 percent.

The import‑export volume under processing trade stood at 391.73 billion yuan, surging by 203 percent and accounting for 68.6 percent of the province's total. Of this figure, exports reached 312.89 billion yuan, up 247.6 percent, and imports hit 78.84 billion yuan, rising by 100.8 percent. Meanwhile, imports and exports under general trade totaled 115.79 billion yuan, an increase of 2.4 percent.

Imports and exports with ASEAN reached 142.52 billion yuan, up 203.2 percent, accounting for 25 percent of the province's total. Trade with South Korea stood at 118.44 billion yuan, surging 182.5 percent and making up 20.7 percent of the total. Trade with the European Union hit 50.01 billion yuan, rising 37.8 percent. Trade with the United States amounted to 44.37 billion yuan, growing 177.2 percent and taking a 7.8 percent share.

Imports and exports with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative totaled 338.27 billion yuan, an increase of 116.1 percent, 59.2 percent of the province's total. Imports and exports with other RCEP member states reached 281.54 billion yuan, jumping 160.5 percent and accounting for 49.3 percent of the provincial total.

Imports and exports by foreign‑invested enterprises reached 421.93 billion yuan, rising by 150.9 percent. Private enterprises posted import‑export volume of 127.99 billion yuan, an increase of 27.5 percent. State‑owned enterprises registered imports and exports worth 20.04 billion yuan, up 1.2 percent.
