Over 100 students from top universities gather in Hohhot

The 2026 Prestigious University Teachers and Students Hohhot Tour kicked off on Aug 3.

Over 100 teachers and students from 24 renowned universities, including Peking University and Tsinghua University, gathered in Hohhot, embarking on a five-day immersion program combining city exploration with visits to local industries.

Since its inaugural edition in 2023, the event has invited nearly 500 students from top universities around the nation to come and explore Hohhot. It has expanded its cooperation network with higher education institutions, enriched its study and practical learning opportunities, and introduced new forms of youth exchange, enabling more young talents to discover Hohhot, pursue opportunities in the city, and ultimately make it their home.

This year's event places greater emphasis on immersive experiences, direct communication, and deep resonance. The event breaks down information barriers between universities and the city, allowing visiting students to better understand Hohhot's develolpment foundation, industrial vitality, and humanistic appeal.

During the event, the teacher and student delegations visited key innovation and technology platforms, including the Horinger New Area Computing Power Platform, the H3C Central Laboratory, and the Low-Altitude and Beidou Application Industrial Park, as well as leading local enterprises such as Mengniu Group and Jinyu Bio-Technology.

The event also features visits to the Inner Mongolia Museum and the Hohhot City Exhibition Center, a tour of the Chilechuan Grassland, and the Red Equestrian Live Performance.
