A new exhibition at the Liaoning Provincial Museum in Shenyang, Liaoning province, takes you back to the Xia, Shang, and Zhou dynasties (c.21st century-256 BC) — the formative era when China's early states emerged and the ritual and music culture was established.

Get an up-close look at oracle bone inscriptions, Fu Hao bird-legged ding (cooker), bronze chime bells, and jade ornaments, which tell an epic story of faith, power, order, and virtue in ancient China.

Dates: Until Oct 31
