Shanxi launches summer agricultural tour routes

Shanxi province has unveiled 11 themed summer tour routes that connect 52 leisure agriculture hotspots, offering a comprehensive travel guide for rural tourism to residents across the province.

These premium routes serve as a vital platform to showcase Shanxi's agricultural heritage and picturesque rural landscapes. They integrate modern agricultural parks, leisure villages, tourism demonstration sites, and specialty farm markets. 

Themed around agricultural education, eco-picking, ancient fort homestays, wellness mountain retreats, and folk culture, the routes ensure comprehensive coverage of rural resources across the province's 11 cities.

The urban-rural leisure route around Taiyuan incorporates attractions like Liujiabao village and Jinyuan Rice Field Park, promoting activities such as picking tours and family farming, forming a "half-hour vacation circle" for city dwellers.

The Datong route connects the ecological landscapes of Yanggao Daquan Mountain and the ancient Great Wall at Shoukoubao, offering a refreshing rural experience along the Great Wall. The Shuozhou route offers countryside leisure, allowing visitors to savor local flavors and learn about history.

These routes create an integrated consumption chain of "viewing rural landscapes, tasting local cuisine, learning farming skills, staying in mountain lodges, and purchasing specialty products", further promoting the deep integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism, enriching summer leisure options and enhancing rural industry development.
