The Song Mausoleums are hailed as an open-air museum of Chinese stone carving art, preserving a total of 1,027 stone statues in Gongyi, Henan province.

In spring, green wheat sprouts spread across the surrounding fields. The grain turns golden as summer arrives. Autumn brings sorghum and sunflowers to the fields, which are blanketed in snow every winter.

This 1,000-year-old civilization finds its roots in the soil. During the cycle of seasons, these stone statues quietly guard cultural heritage.
