How did a 19th-century British artist see China? At the Yangzhou Museum in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, 76 engravings by British painter Thomas Allom (1804-72) capture the landscapes, architecture, and everyday life of late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) China through Western eyes. Here, you can explore the unique historical aesthetics born from the integration of Eastern and Western cultures.
