China-Kazakhstan research center launched in Ordos

The China-Kazakhstan Research Center for Perovskite Photovoltaics and All-Solid-State Energy Storage has been established in Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, providing a new platform for cooperation in new energy technologies between the two countries.

The center was unveiled during a technical exchange seminar and licensing ceremony held recently at the Ordos Research Institute of New Energy. Its launch marks the transition of the China-Kazakhstan joint innovation platform for new energy under the Belt and Road Initiative into an operational phase.

The center was jointly established by Beihang University, Nazarbayev University of Kazakhstan, and the Ordos Research Institute of New Energy, marking a new stage of collaborative innovation among the three institutions.

In the future, the center will utilize the research strengths of universities, international cooperation resources, and Ordos’ industrial capacity to advance joint research, technology commercialization, and talent development, promoting deeper integration between scientific innovation and industrial growth.
