Xi'an holds special exhibition of national treasure

The special digital exhibition "A Moving Masterpiece: Along the River during Qingming Festival" kicked off in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, on July 12.

The exhibition will run for three months, with free admission for children aged 12 and under, presenting residents with an immersive feast of Song Dynasty (960–1279) culture.

Along the River during Qingming Festival is a national treasure scroll painted by Zhang Zeduan during the Song Dynasty (960–1279). It serves as a precious document for studying social life during this important period of Chinese history.

The special exhibition uses cutting-edge technology, dynamic rendering, and scene restoration techniques to recreate the life scenes from the Song Dynasty's capital.

Complemented by guided tours, it interprets the historical heritage and artistic value of the painting through in-depth narrations. It caters to visitors of all age groups and is particularly suitable for teenagers to carry out historical and educational study tours.
