Hangzhou titanium cups make World Cup lineup

As the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues, official tournament merchandise is also drawing attention off the pitch, including a titanium cup series from Hangzhou.

The cups are made by Hangzhou Tomic Industry Co Ltd, a drinkware company with 25 years of experience in cup and bottle manufacturing. The company has secured the exclusive license for titanium cup products for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to Tomic, the series uses visual elements from the tournament, with dynamic lines, bright colors, and designs that reflect North America's cultural diversity and the energy of soccer.

Titanium is a lightweight, strong, and biocompatible metal widely used in fields such as aerospace and medicine. The company said the material's stability means it does not react chemically with drinks such as tea, coffee, juice, or traditional Chinese medicine decoctions, helping avoid the metallic taste or mixed odors sometimes found in stainless steel cups.

Tomic also said the oxide film that forms naturally on titanium surfaces gives the cups antibacterial properties, helping slow oxidation and preserve the original taste of drinks.
