A Vantaa sister-city garden in Jinan offers visitors a glimpse into Finnish landscape design. Established in 2021, the garden commemorates the sister-city partnership established in 2001 between Jinan and Vantaa, Finland.

The garden's design draws inspiration from three public spaces in Vantaa, reflecting the philosophy of living in harmony with nature.

At the entrance stands a sculpture of three intertwined bands, symbolizing Vantaa's parks, the Vantaa River and the Yellow River, as well as the friendship between the two cities. Throughout the garden, visitors can also find design elements inspired by Vantaa's public spaces, including wooden benches modeled after those in Tikkurila Library Park and a bridge inspired by one in Sipoonkorpi National Park.

The garden also features two lounge chairs imported from Finland and a wooden pavilion overlooking the landscape, offering visitors places to relax while experiencing Finnish-style garden design.

More than a beautifully landscaped park, the garden has become a venue for cultural exchange between the two cities. During a visit to Jinan, Vantaa Mayor Pekka Timonen toured the garden and praised its meticulous upkeep, highlighting the enduring friendship between the two cities.
