The launch conference for cultural tourism routes integrating intangible cultural heritage with sci-tech innovation and the inauguration ceremony of Guilin Sci-Tech Cultural and Creative Tourism Park, were held at Guilin Xiangshan Scenic Area on June 28, marking a new landmark in the in-depth integration of local intangible cultural heritage and modern technology.

The opening ceremony featured immersive ICH stage performances and themed exhibitions, allowing visitors to experience the perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and digital technology firsthand.

"I am delighted to introduce Guilin's traditional culture to tourists," said Qin Zhiping, an autonomous region-level inheritor.

At the same time, a brand-new international study tour route integrating ICH and sci-tech innovation was officially unveiled. Multiple international practices and exchange bases were also granted plaques, forming a global platform to showcase and spread Guilin's culture worldwide.

Tholaly, a Laotian international student from Guilin University of Aerospace Technology, said, "I will strive to learn this heritage and promote it widely back in Laos."

A full lineup of cultural and creative events is poised to unfold at the park from June 29 to July 31. By fostering new integrated formats of culture, technology, and education, the park capitalizes on digital tools to transmit ICH and broaden international cultural exchange.

This initiative catalyzes the digital transformation of traditional cultural resources, diversifies cultural tourism consumption scenarios, and fuels innovation in Guilin's cultural tourism sector.
