The Hungarian artworks are noted for their diverse styles and innovative forms, vividly illustrating contemporary European art concepts and techniques. In contrast, the Chinese artworks, focusing on oil and lacquer paintings, draw on Shanxi's rich cultural heritage, presenting a unique regional artistic style.
Liu Weidong, dean of the School of Fine Arts at Shanxi University, stated that the exchange exhibition marks a starting point for international collaboration between Shanxi's art community and Hungarian art institutions. It aims to enhance the global influence of Shanxi art while providing a platform for mutual exchange and learning between artists from both regions.
Hungarian artist Farkas Roland said in his speech, "This exhibition is not merely an art display but a meeting of different cultural and artistic traditions and creative ideas." He expressed hope that the exhibition would serve as a catalyst for deepening cultural ties between the two countries and fostering a platform for long-term, regular cooperation.
