During the Dragon Boat Festival, Tai'an welcomed 691,600 visitors across 26 monitored scenic spots, generating total revenue of more than 20.24 million yuan ($2.98 million) and ticket sales of 10.51 million yuan. Among them, Taishan Mountain alone received 88,600 climbers, contributing 6.68 million yuan in ticket revenue.
The city's cultural and tourism authorities, together with local districts and counties, rolled out 46 Dragon Boat Festival-themed tourism activities and preferential policies, alongside over 60 cultural events. These diversified offerings catered to the growing demand for quality travel experiences, effectively boosting holiday consumption.
From making traditional zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) to folk performances and mountain hikes, Tai'an provided visitors with a rich blend of cultural immersion and leisure. The strong holiday performance highlights Tai'an's growing appeal as a cultural tourism destination, with more innovative experiences expected to draw even larger crowds in the future.
