University-led tech innovation event steers GBA innovative growth

The new epicenter of innovation hustle is a university carnival in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, where students with AI plush toys and new materials rub shoulders with company leaders and global investors — welcome to 2026 INNOTECH.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) hosted its fourth edition of INNOTECH from June 13 to 14. This year's event featured over 150 standout tech projects, more than 900 investment bodies and industrial leaders, alongside over 3,300 global attendees. It acted as a high-powered hub for project displays, capital investment, tech commercialization and talent exchanges, collectively driving high-quality tech advancement across the GBA.
