OVC launches five digital culture OPC communities

The "Juju Space" OPC (One Person Company) Innovation Community was unveiled at the Optics Valley Creative Industry Base on June 3. To date, Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) has launched five digital culture OPC communities.

Spanning approximately 3,000 square meters, these spaces are open to OPC entrepreneurs in the digital culture sector. They offer benefits such as reduced office rent, AI support for content creation, dedicated computing resources, and access to investment and financing opportunities.

Currently, projects within these communities cover key areas like AI-driven comics and short films, gaming, digital personas, livestreaming, and audiovisual content, resulting in a series of market hits.

One of the first teams to join the "Juju Space" was the SuaMagic Studio, which focuses on AI film content production. The studio is led by Zhang Yuxuan, a Hubei native. " I previously worked as a music producer in Beijing,” Zhang said. “This year, after seeing OVC’s strong support for the AIGC (AI Generated Content) industry in OVC and its robust ecosystem, I decided to return home and give it a try."

The studio's works have already gained recognition at international film festivals. Zhang revealed, "This 'OVC-produced, nationwide-exhibited' model might become a norm for our operations."

OVC’s OPC communities plan to roll out a series of events: an OPC entrepreneurship salon in June, a team and platform networking event in July, and an AI digital content creation competition in August.

The second phase of community development is also underway to encourage more industrial parks to offer free spaces and attract more AI technology platforms, establishing a nationwide benchmark for digital culture OPC innovation and development.
