The 21st Symposium on Probiotics and Health was held in Ningbo from May 20 to 22.
The 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) Probiotics Industry Innovation Development Roadmap and the Bifidobacterium Longum Subspecies Infantis Ylgb-1496 White Paper, co-developed by Yili, garnered widespread attention from both industry and external stakeholders at the symposium.

At the symposium, Yili's four self-developed star strains and their industrial application results were presented. These four strains focus on different areas including intestinal health, immune regulation, metabolic management, and oral care.
Among them, Bifidobacterium longum subspecies infantis YLGB-1496 is an infant-specific probiotic derived from Chinese breast milk, which can improve intestinal microbiota. YLGB-1496 passed the review of the National Health Commission in February 2026 and was included in the list of microbial strains permitted for use in infant foods.
