Shandong capital unveils Novi Sad-inspired sister city garden

Jinan, the capital of Shandong province, opened a garden modeled after Novi Sad, Serbia, on Tuesday to mark a new chapter in the partnership between the two cities.

Jinan and Novi Sad established sister city relations in 2024. Since then, the two cities have achieved progress in government-to-government exchanges, economic and trade cooperation, cultural and educational collaboration, and landscaping initiatives.

The newly unveiled garden stands as a signature project jointly developed by the two municipalities. Designed to capture the essence of Novi Sad, the garden condenses the natural landscape, historical heritage, and contemporary flair of the Serbian city into a distinctive urban green space.
