Folk pop band Tonika, a Russian Merited Art Troupe, recently performed in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Harbin and Murmansk.
On Sunday, the band delivered a mix of folk songs from northern Russia and well-known Russian classics like Moscow Nights and Katyusha.
Since Harbin and Murmansk established a sister-city relationship in 2016, they have hosted frequent high-level visits and close exchanges.
In January, the two cities signed a cooperation plan for 2026 to promote government interactions, economy and trade collaboration, and culture and education exchanges. The concert is one of the cultural activities outlined in plan.
Moving forward, the two cities plan to expand cooperation to deepen the friendships between their respective residents.
