Taizhou University has been approved to launch eight new undergraduate majors, bringing its total number of academic programs to 45.

The newly added majors are intelligent manufacturing engineering, new energy materials and devices, medical information engineering, food nutrition and health, emergency management, biomedical data science, pharmaceutical quality management, and low-altitude intelligent network engineering.

The new programs are closely aligned with the upgrading and digital transformation of high-end equipment manufacturing, as well as green and low-carbon development needs. They also support the growing demand from industries such as biomedicine and the broader health sector.

In addition, the newly introduced disciplines are designed to fill talent gaps in chemical engineering and new materials, particularly in production safety and risk prevention across industrial chains.

By targeting emerging sectors and proactively responding to rapid industry development, the university aims to build forward-looking academic offerings aligned with future industrial trends.
