Two customs supervision facilities in Ordos passed inspection on May 11 and are now ready for operation, marking a new step in the city's efforts to improve cross-border logistics and support foreign trade businesses.
The two facilities, located in the Ordos Comprehensive Bonded Zone, include the zone's first road transport customs supervision site and its first express delivery customs supervision site.
Covering a total area of 34,000 square meters, the facilities are expected to strengthen customs clearance efficiency and expand logistics services for international trade.
Customs supervision facilities are operated by enterprises and are designed for the entry, parking, loading, storage, and temporary handling of goods under customs supervision, while handling customs procedures.
The new road transport facility will serve as the bonded zone's first land-port customs clearance platform, helping improve road freight connectivity and streamline logistics operations.
Meanwhile, the express delivery facility will support cross-border e-commerce imports and exports, enabling faster declaration and clearance of small parcels and meeting the high-frequency, time-sensitive demands of e-commerce trade.
The launch of these two facilities will allow businesses to complete customs declaration, inspection, and clearance procedures in one location. The sites also leave room for future business models, such as export consolidation and international distribution services.
