The annual peony season has begun in Ordos, with tens of thousands of peonies gradually coming into bloom at the Ordos Wedding Culture Park.
The park is home to more than 70 varieties of peonies, including famous Heze peonies and rare purple-spotted peonies, with over 36,000 peony plants and 45,000 peonies' sister flowers – Chinese peonies – planted throughout the area.
As one of the most comprehensive specialized peony gardens in Inner Mongolia and Northwest China, the park has become a popular destination for both residents and tourists during the spring flowering season.
At present, early-blooming varieties have already opened, while most flowers remain in bud. The park is expected to reach its peak viewing period in mid-to-late May.
