Major tech-innovation carnival to open in Guangzhou's Nansha

The 2026 INNOTECH tech-innovation carnival will take place at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) in Nansha district on June 13-14, organizers announced.

The annual event, recognized as one of the most influential tech-innovation platforms among universities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, will gather over 150 cutting-edge tech projects, alongside hundreds of investment institutions and leading industry enterprises. The activities will include project exhibitions, investor pitch sessions, a tech forum featuring venture capitalists and industry leaders, a patent zone showcasing hardcore innovations and a "Robo Gala" that offers immersive interactive experiences with advanced intelligence.

Since its launch in 2023, INNOTECH has served as a platform that connects global tech-innovation resources and accelerates the commercialization of research. Faculty, students and alumni of HKUST and HKUST(GZ) are invited to register their projects by May 24.
