The city of Ordos, known for its striking desert, grassland, and canyon landscapes, is hosting 48 cultural and tourism events for the upcoming May Day holiday, offering visitors a diverse mix of sports, performances, and immersive travel experiences that showcase the city's natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
Major highlights include a desert-themed celebration in the Kubuqi Desert from May 1 to 4, featuring off-road racing, concerts, a traditional Naadam fair, and kite shows. A special arts performance will also be staged at the Yemingsha scenic area, presenting award-winning dance and music productions.
Sports enthusiasts can enjoy exciting experiences at the Kangbashi Racing Town, while a variety of family-friendly competitions and outdoor activities will take place across the city.
The Ordos Zoo will host animal parades and interactive experiences, alongside themed shows at its aquarium, before nighttime attractions, including fireworks, drone displays, and musical fountain shows, light up the city's skyline.
