Ordos reports strong investment promotion results in Q1

Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region recorded strong investment promotion results in the first quarter of this year, driven by efforts to cultivate new growth drivers and advance key industrial initiatives.

In the first quarter, the city launched 216 investment projects, with 18.81 billion yuan ($2.76 billion) in domestic funds allocated, up 38.1 percent year-on-year and the highest in the region in terms of total investment. The growth rate placed second in the region.

During the period, local officials led 14 investment promotion trips to provinces and municipalities, including Beijing, Shandong, Sichuan, and Jiangsu, engaging with 64 companies such as China National Coal Group, China Datang Corporation, and Changxin Chemical Technology Co.

Agreements on a total of 31 projects were signed, with a combined planned investment of 44.53 billion yuan. Five of the projects have already broken ground.
