More than 60 delegates from Hong Kong's tourism sector visited Yantai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, on April 25-26 for a two-day cultural tourism exchange event aimed at deepening industry collaboration and expanding Hong Kong's outbound travel market to Yantai.
The delegation toured key landmarks including the Suochengli Historical and Cultural Block, Chaoyang Street, Yantai Mountain, the Yantai Nuclear Medical Science and Technology Museum, and the Sun Tower, where they experienced Yantai's rich history, coastal resources, and unique urban character. Delegates praised the city's efforts in balancing heritage preservation with tourism innovation.
On the afternoon of April 25, a promotion conference saw multiple agreements reached, including a strategic partnership between Hong Kong Cultural Tourism Group and Yantai Cultural Tourism Industry Development Group, as well as a collaboration between the Hong Kong Association of Chinese Travel Organisations and the Yantai Premium Tourism Promotion Association. These agreements lay the groundwork for joint tour routes, co-branded marketing, and cross-border visitor exchanges.
The event serves as a new bridge for regular, in-depth cooperation between the two cities' tourism industries. Moving forward, Yantai aims to further promote its "Coastal Wonderland, Remarkable Yantai" brand in the Hong Kong and Macao markets.
