Hebei's grand Kangxi show returns for 15th season

The epic live historical show, The Grand Era of Kangxi, kicked off its 15th season on Saturday in Chengde, North China's Hebei province.
Set against a real landscape, the production features hundreds of performers reenacting scenes from the Kangxi and Qianlong periods of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
Since its debut in June 2011, the performance has been staged more than 2,500 times and received over four million visits, according to local authorities. It has been included in the list of selected projects for the national tourism performance excellence catalog.
