Bama Yao autonomous county has won the Excellent Organization Award from the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum for its remarkable showing at the museum's two-month Spring Festival series event, which concluded on March 20.

The county's culture and tourism authority arranged for local enterprises to showcase distinctive traditional products, with its careful organization and impressive products earning high praise from the museum.

Bama's Yao culture-themed exhibition zone became a highlight of the event, featuring a variety of unique products: Yao medicinal health care series, exquisite Yao embroidery handicrafts, and handcrafted brown sugar from Longhong village – a signature poverty alleviation product of Bama and a regional-level intangible cultural heritage (ICH). All exhibits fully reflected the county's rich ethnic cultural heritage.

An interactive experience area was set up for visitors, with hands-on activities like Yao embroidery accessory making and Bunu Yao egg basket weaving drawing enthusiastic participation. On-site craft demonstrations and cultural sharing brought traditional handicrafts to life, making ICH more accessible to modern audiences.

The national exhibition has greatly promoted Bama's unique culture, including the Zhuzhu Festival (Danu Festival) – an important traditional festival for the Bunu Yao people to commemorate their ancestor, as well as Yao medicine and brown sugar making techniques.

It has significantly raised the profile of Bama's cultural brand. Local participating enterprises said the event built a high-quality exchange platform, inspiring new ideas for the innovation and upgrade of Bama's ICH products.
