Hohhot adds another national-level technology incubation platform

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released the list of incubators to be recognized as standard-level (first batch). The Hohhot Sci-Tech Innovation Center (Mengkeju Headquarters Base), a technology enterprise incubator, was included in the list, indicating that the city's innovation service capabilities have reached national recognition standards.

This recognition is divided into two levels: standard and excellence. The standard level is benchmarked against the original national-level incubators with strict standards for qualification, site assurance, professional teams and others, representing an authoritative national-level certification in technology incubation.

Since it began operations in 2019, the Hohhot Sci-Tech Innovation Center has consistently focused on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, the cultivation of tech enterprises, and the aggregation of innovation elements. It has been successively rated as an A-class (excellent) technology enterprise incubator and a technology enterprise accelerator at the autonomous region level.

The Hohhot Sci-Tech Innovation Center has incubated and cultivated 110 enterprises, nurturing key technology projects such as the National Dairy Technology Innovation Center and the Aerospace Cross-Scale Metrology Benchmark Large Science Device and High-Performance Grating Industrialization Project.

Moreover, it has introduced 25 technology service institutions, including the National Eastern Tech-Transfer Center's Hohhot branch center. It has also cultivated 22 high-tech enterprises, 37 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and 11 innovative SMEs.
