Inner Mongolia's 2026 first tourist train sets off

The Y75 tourist train departed from Hohhot East Station on March 17. Over 700 travelers from cities such as Hohhot, Baotou, and Ordos embarked on an 11-day spring tour of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, immersing themselves in the ancient charm and gentle beauty of the Jiangnan region.

This is the first tourist train to be launched in Inner Mongolia autonomous region this year. The train consists of air-conditioned sleeper carriages, offering a variety of options including soft and hard sleepers. Professional tour guides accompany the passengers, and a healthcare doctor is on board to ensure safety.

The journey connects over 30 distinctive tourist attractions across nine locations: Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Suzhou, Wuzhen, Mount Putuo, Zhoushan, Fenghua, Ningbo, and Hangzhou. Along the way, travelers can visit Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing, admire the unique aesthetics of Suzhou gardens, and enjoy the rippling waters of West Lake in Hangzhou. The journey offers stunning views of rich natural landscapes and Jiangnan water towns, as well as the chance to explore the history, culture, and unique folk customs of each location.

To better serve the large number of elderly travelers, the tourist train has upgraded its services to be more senior-friendly. Small nightlights have been installed in the carriages, and portable canes and other facilities have been added to ensure that travelers can enjoy their journey with peace of mind.
