Trilogy in Lacquer: The Art of Lacquerware from the Song to Qing Dynasties (960-1911), the first major exhibition of the year at the Suzhou Museum in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, marks the museum's first large exhibition dedicated exclusively to lacquer culture.
From lacquerware unearthed from ancient tombs to exquisite imperial court masterpieces, the exhibition traces the evolution and spread of lacquer craftsmanship across the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties.
