Stan Lai’s Flower in the Mirror, Moon in the Water traces the lives of two women from childhood to old age. Growing up together, Hua and Yue encounter ancient mythical beasts and haunting illusions that shape their diverging paths of revenge and destiny. Blending myth, memory and Eastern philosophy, the play unfolds a poetic cycle of life, truth and illusion.
