Symposium participants, who are university professors and social science researchers, spotlighted the origin and diverse folk customs across the country about the Chongyang Festival and delved into avenues to keep traditional festivals as living heritage in contemporary society.

They concurred that the vitality of traditional festivals lies in their ability to respond to the spiritual needs of modern people and social development; only by inheriting those festivals through innovation and continuing them in life can they truly live on.
