Marking the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the musical Harbin Enveloped in Darkness will come to Wuhan Qintai Grand Theatre on Oct 22 and 23. Based on the novel under the same title, it honors the sacrifices of underground revolutionaries in 1934 Harbin. Blending history, memory and artistry, the production pays tribute to heroes who upheld faith and resilience in the country’s darkest hours.
