This pair of bronze stirrups is originally from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) Qutan Monastery in Ledu district, Haidong, Qinghai. Each stirrup's design features two dragon heads connected at the top of the loop, exuding majesty. The stirrup treads are adorned with intricate openwork carvings. Besides their functional convenience for riding, the stirrups signal the high social status of their owner due to the exquisite craftsmanship. Now, they are treasures in the collection of Qinghai Museum.
