A new exhibition at the Chengdu Art Museum takes you back to 1939–46, when the Society for Research in Chinese Architecture conducted groundbreaking investigations of ancient buildings across Sichuan.
For the first time, more than 700 historic photographs and 100 original manuscripts from the era are being unveiled in a large-scale, systematic display. Come and delve into China’s architectural legacy as recorded in the Society’s surveys.
