The 2025 China Original Folk Song Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, opened on Thursday in Hohhot, capital city of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

Throughout the festival, from Thursday to Sunday, performing groups will collaborate with local art troupes, touring the cities of Inner Mongolia, giving performances at public squares, schools, pastoral areas, scenic spots, and local streets, offering a visual and music feast for residents and tourists alike.

The closing ceremony of the festival is set to take place on Sunday in Hohhot, marking the end of this vibrant celebration of China’s rich folk music heritage.
