The brand new Beijing Dabaotai Site Museum officially opened its doors to the public on May 20 with The History and Culture of Western Han Guangyang Kingdom and The Art and Life of Mawangdui exhibitions.
Discovered in 1974, the Dabaotai site is the tomb of Liu Jian, King Qing of Guangyang, and his consort. It has gained international acclaim for its rare and prestigious burial method known as "Huangchangticou", a symbol of imperial-level honor.
