Now on view at Shenyang Museum is a dazzling array of gold and silver vessels, ornaments and currency from the Song (960-1279) and Liao (916-1125) dynasties, unearthed from a hoard in Dabeicheng village, Yixian county, Baoding, Hebei province.
These artifacts highlight masterful craftsmanship and ornate designs, telling vivid stories of cultural fusion between northern ethnic groups and the people of the Central Plain during these periods.
