Nanyue district in Hengyang, Central China’s Hunan province, was alive with excitement for the annual Fire Lantern Festival on the night of Feb 11. Thousands of residents and tourists gathered to receive sacred fire, admire lantern displays and enjoy festive performances.
The grand Fire Lantern Parade set off from Nanyue Grand Temple, winding through the streets like a fiery dragon. People lined the roads with lotus lanterns, eagerly receiving a flame for good luck.
