Since the festival showcasing theatrical productions by privately-owned troupes began in 2014, it has staged 107 productions and over 500 shows. The festival is an opportunity for young theater artists, as well as theater companies, to raise their profiles.

Last year, it included 43 productions, ranging from musicals and plays, to immersive productions.
