The Dai ethnic Zhangha Opera Wushabaluo was recently staged in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province. Based on the epic of the same name, the production was created by the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture Ethnic Culture Troupe. Zhangha Opera, rooted in the traditional Dai performance art Zhangha, features elements of Dai poetry, dance, music, and language, reflecting deep cultural ties with South and Southeast Asian countries.
