The ninth China Kunqu Opera Festival featured 16 major Kunqu Opera performances selected from eight national theater troupes. Audiences in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, enjoyed renowned productions like The Chinese Customs by the Northern Kunqu Opera Theatre and The Jade Hairpin by Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe from April 28 to May 4. This event also included 17 supporting activities and was presented also in universities, gardens, and commercial complexes for the first time.
